West Kowloon

Traveling through bus 970, and it's the first time I ride on this bus to Yamatei via West Kowloon. I'd remember there is no West Kowloon ICC, Elements 10 years ago. Everything is new and fake and strange. Hong Kong really changes a lot. Are we better or worse? Where should we go?

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is about gathering, meeting up old friends. It's lovely that I can reconnect to Julian and Dr. Ng, and a groups of SociSo friends - Iris, Sussanne, Pauline, Doris, Maple. It triggers lots of new and old feelings. Times really flies. I haven't been back to HKU for years.

Typhoon No. 8

We've moved to new home in August. It's a new and demanding experience. Last night we just stress test with the Typhoon No. 8. It's windy and terible at the street. We just can't walk through the podium and need to go through the car park. But it's safe and cozzy when back home.

Lovely Hot Milk Tea

What a wonderful time to try the traditional hot milk tea in fast food shop again! I haven't tasted any coffee or tea for the last two weeks. It's a been a touch experience to suffer from eye retina infection. Painful and terrible. I just cut away all caffeine drinks. My eye is swellow, full of red colours, loss some eye sights, and I have to keep in dark and rest all the time. Although my body suffers, my spirit is peaceful and fine. It's a good learning to me, learn to take a rest and stop, learn to be patient to my body. Thanks so much for my wife, friends' supports and blessing!

Day Trip to Disneyland

Today is a relax holiday. Wake up late at 10am. Have a relax breakfast and lunch and we set off for disneyland. We just visited the "Car", "Small World" and "Mike's Christmas Home". It's a relax and wonderful day here. No rush, nu hurry, no pressure, just walk around, shoot photo and keep on saying "Merry Christmas". I am so surprised that I meet two colleagues there. The world is so small.

Now I've got my annual pass and can visit anytime next year!
Merry Christmas!

Enjoy the Day

We tend to complain too much! Complain the world is unfair, the boss is so bad, the work has too much pressure...sometimes when we take the time to rethink, there are so many things that we need to treasure, so many things that we should appreciate and say thank you!

I'd played tennis tonight. It's windy but I kick the tennis ball with full swing! Good hits. What a happy moment!

My Friends' Wedding - John and Iris

So happy to join John and Iris wedding banquet. I know them pretty well for almost 10 years. They have dated for almost 20 years. It's just so happy to see them finally get together! It's not easy. Believe me, if we have hearts, we'll gonna make it!

The Olympic Games

The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.
“ Olympic Creed” – by Pierre de Fredy, Baron de Coubertin, founder of the modern Olympic Games

What is Sport?

Anyone who has played it knows the thrill of victory, and the bitterness of defeat. But it is what is gained from participation – motivation, discipline, sportsmanship, teamwork, fair play, self-esteem and prowess – that are they worthy lessons learned and what sustains one through the adversities of life.

Together, these qualities form the basis of the ethos of sport.

Sports haven been closely tied with culture, how a civilization perceived itself and the strength of a nation. The Greeks of antiquity were perhaps the first to institutionalize sporting events through the Olympic Games.

It is thus that HKU places such an emphasis on an all-round education that includes student participation in sporting activities to cultivate not only the mind but the body – because a healthy body goes hand in hand with a healthy mind.

Batman 3

I've watched the Batman at IMAX Megaobox finally. It is a lengthy movie. It is a "sad" and sophisticated story. The Goham city is never a white nor black city, it's just like its cloudy and muddy sky. There is no absolutely right nor wrong. No absolute good or evil. The most encouraging and promising scene is passenger from both ferry refuse to destroy each other...maybe they just fear, or maybe they just can't decide...but at least it tells us that the basic and fundamental nature of human being is still good.
